Why book a house in Wirksworth?
Agricola house is located in the conservation area of the historic small town of Wirksworth which has wine bars, an independent cinema and boutique shops to explore. There are a range of activities for your group to enjoy during your stay in the local area and across the Peak District, which can include a visit to Chatsworth House or Matlock Bath, a walk around Carsington water or for the more adventurous there are great cycling and walking trails in close proximity such as the High Peak Trail. The Star Disc is a memorable place to visit during your stay and Ecclesbourne railway for a steam train ride is within 10 minutes’ walk.
And who’s going to do the cooking?
If you wish to have a complete break from it all, catering can also be arranged at Agricola House, either with a chef coming to the house and cooking a meal for the guests or a catering company will deliver food for you to the house for a special lunch or a sit-down meal.
